I've never gone to a midnight-screening of anything before this movie, and I can't see myself doing it again for anything else. But my GOD was it worth it. That movie right there? Perfection.

Well, tonight was the night! Leah and JD are married and will be off to Ireland come morning! I'm so drained and it's only 1 am! But I'm home now, still in my bridesmaid's dress and crossing my fingers that the pictures turn out spectacular! All those months of planning and the big day came and went so fast, but it was perfect and everything went off without a hitch! It's been wonderful and this past week has been super busy but totally amazing! I'd write more but I'm zonked right now. Off to get changed and then to bed; I need the sleep!

(This totally sounds like a diary entry as opposed to an LJ post, but oh well. My brain's a wee bit fuzzy! Possibly because of the excitement. Or the fatigue. Or the four glasses of wine I had. Any of those factors, I'm sure!)

AHHHHHHHHHH CRIMINAL MINDS FINALE ON TONIGHT AND I HAVE TO WORK! Fortunately, I have a Super Seekrit YouTube-like Website that lets me watch the episodes like an hour after they air, so I'll watch it when I get home. AND IT WILL KILL ME! *flail* Pleaseohpleaseohplease don't turn me into a quivering wreck CM. I got bummed thanks to Supernatural but I didn't cry...but I have a feeling that thinking about how this finale is gonna end is gonna make me sob. Because of the not knowing. Argh! why don't more people watch this show when it's a bajillion times better than any of the CSIs?

Annnd I saw Prince Caspian yesterday! I'm going to see it again next Monday with my mom! I loved it! And Caspian = dreamboat. I have a whole write up for it, but I'll do it later cuz right now I have a meme!

Though last night I had a dream that I was an assistant to Bruce Wayne and was totally cool that he was Batman. I see Narnia and dream about Batman. IT MAKES TOTAL SENSE, RIGHT?

True story: while I was working last night I had my mixed-song CD on and was singing along to "Wanted Dead or Alive" as I cleaned. Then I got home and watch Supernatural and gleefully sang along with it again when it was on the show. and then i watched the rest of the episode...

....*buries CD under pile of clothes*

Today I went to my cousin's son's birthday party and it was a mishmash of family and family-friends there, so there were about 5 under 4 years-old kids running around. How we ever kept an eye on them was a miracle, but there was this one moment where we overheard my other cousin's 10 year old son commenting on animals dying to this 4 year old, so I called up to him "Liam, what are you telling him about?!" and it got really quiet all of a sudden until the 4 year old cheerfully pipes up with "DYING!!!" like it was the greatest thing ever. I couldn't help but laugh at the timing of that, while Liam's dad was entirely unimpressed. It was good times! Honest!

I've been meaning to do this forever, ever since my birthday actually, but then resol did one for me and then Life happened and I never got around to it. Well. In order to fill in the time between now and Dress Fitting Time I've decided to finally get up my Cillian picspam! Rejoice!

I have to go in for my dress fitting today at 2:30. I haven't even seen my bridesmaid dress since last year, and that one wasn't even the one that I'm really gonna wear, if that makes any sense. I mean, basically, that this is the first time that I'll be encountering my dress and not just the sample dress in the store. So it'll be the dress that I wear in the wedding, in my dress size. My self esteem is already starting to weep.

Okay this is totally a necessary double post: ALL MY GRADES ARE BACK IN AND THE CLASS THAT I HAD NO IDEA HOW I WAS DOING IN? I GOT AN A- AS MY OVERALL GRADE!! I AM QUITE LITERALLY DOING MENTAL SNOOPY DANCES RIGHT NOW!

I have the memory of a goldfish, I swear! I was just about to go look something up on Google when I got to the page and forgot what I was going to look up. I am so ridiculous tonight there are no words. And it's ironic because earlier tonight I was
having a conversation with my friend about the way our brains work and she was trying to tell me that my brain worked "better" than hers because I can read way faster. I assured her that I was dumb in every other aspect of my life, but she didn't believe me. Ha!

Annnd in other news: I am in love with cryptograms and have resurrected my love affair with Random Learning in libraries. This summer I'm busting out my old nerdy self, because she's been comatose for way too long!

The University Semester Of Hell has officially ENDED!! As in, I am done for the year. As in, all my exams and papers are over and done with. As in, I have 4 glorious months of pure, blissful freedom from school! This also means that I can finally get more done in my poor, dusty LJ and even better than that, I can reacquaint myself with all the fandom stuff that I've been missing! You guys have no idea how happy I am, AND to top it all off, the last paper that I wrote...the one that I pulled an all nighter on because I put it off til the last minute...the one where I literally just made it up as I went along and rambled incoherently because my brain broke while I was writing it and I had stopped really caring? I got an A on it. An A! Like, I was certain that it was utter crap, and I'm pretty sure that I was literally typing in my sleep at some point, but it netted me an A! I love my brain, you guys!

AND FINALLY I can do that "10 Fictional Characters That You'd Sleep With" meme, at long last! It's been literally months since it was going around, but I was in a state of torpor at the time and didn't get to do it til now. (Hey 'squilis! I said 'do it' again!)

I've been busy out the yin yang with assignments and whatnot, but the important thing is that I'm not dead somewheres, yes? I think so!

I'm battling both a cold AND nerves as I hate giving presentations in class and that's allllll I'm doing this week, and I feel really crummy about never updating my LJ. NEVER FEAR FLISTERS! I'LL BE BACK WHEN THIS IS ALL OVER!!!

Currently I'm using one of the campus computers to blow time while I wait for a group that I'm in to show up so we can work stuff out for a Presentation *ominous music + thunderbolt* sooo the administration's probably watching my every move. Or not, as I'm not that exciting. Oh well.

I saw that I was tagged in the "10 fictional characters you'd knock boots with in a heartbeat" (isn't that what it's called?) meme and I FULLY INTEND ON DOING IT after I finish this other essay that I need to hand in. Essays on poetry really should have a required length of 2000 words cuz I firmly believe that poetry is specifically not meant to be analyzed in such depth, or else it'll lose some of the meaning that it originally had. Plus I'm lazy and just don't wanna do it, naturally.

Good day today? I think so!

I know, right? I'm taking this time to temporarily chill out about my disasters (cuz my dad told me to) to look back at some of the stuff I've written in my downtime and I stumbled across my one application for a Heroes forum role-play (shut up, I know I'm a nerd!) where I was playing Nathan...and Elle. I picked her up on a whim because I was bored and was thinking "I wonder how badly I'd screw her up!" and the end result was me actually enjoying writing for her! Who'd have guessed THAT would happen?! Not I!
But anywhosit I was rereading it and amusing myself and just felt like tossing the role-play sample up here to share how lame I am. So here it goes!

ARGH! And NOW there's no ink in the printer! If today gets any worse I swear I'm jumping off the roof! (okay not really, but I AM becoming a hermit)

I'm so ridiculously screwed I don't even know why I'm bothering to finish my paper today. I'm supposed to have my line of credit established by now but my dad (who is supposed to be my co-signer) is just not agreeing to go to the bank with me. He told me he'd take care of it but now I'm TWO DAYS away from being unregistered for all my classes this term, which would require me to re-do the whole term and STILL pay 55% of the bill (I've paid half of that half already) because it's not paid yet. I need like $2000 for the rest of the bill now cuz it's so close to the deadline and I just won't be able to get that money.
I kinda wanna just disappear off the face of the planet right now...

Sooo busy it's making my head spin, and the worst part is that I feel like I'm hardly doing anything! Figures, right? On the bright side I'm going out tonight with friends and we're going bowling and funness like that so I can relax then!

For my birthday I got Criminal Minds Season 2 so I've been rewatching my first season DVD set and my season 2 set and I just adore this show. I don't talk about it much, but it's like a warm fuzzy blanket of catching-criminalness. I want the writer's strike to be over soon so I can see more than one episode of Geeky!Xander guest starring! I haven't seen Nicholas Brendan in anything for so long I was so excited to see him in that episode! And of course CM has my beloved Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) who is THE fictional character that I'd wanna marry. ♥

Annnd my picspm has been loaded to photobucket but I'm waiting til I have more time to really devote to captioning everything before I post it. *is thorough*

Finally, I've just picked up the second issue of the official Heroes magazine and there's a lovely interview with Zachary Quinto in it. A few of my favorite excerpts from it are:

Q: Characters such as Niki aren't all hero material. Are there any redeeming qualities to Sylar?
ZQ: Suuuure... (laughter) Yeah, I think there are redeeming qualities to every character. It is part of what I try to sty connected to. He is a lost soul, a sad, wounded little guy. There is redemption in the fact that he didn't set out to be as evil as he ultimately became. I don't know. We will see if that gets explored.

Q: How did Sylar's relationship with his mother shape him into the man he is now?
ZQ: Well, she's crazy and it rubbed off a little bit. It is interesting. I think his mother really fed his deficit by constantly telling him he was capable of more, that he is more, more, more - which leaves somebody wondering why what they are isn't enough. That is part of what drove him in his pursuit for greater things, and that just turned ugly. When Chandra Suresh walked into the watch store, it opened up a whole new world; it changed the whole picture for him forever.

Q: Lastly, if Sylar was on the Starship Enterprise, who would come out on top?
ZQ: That is a tough position to put me in, because who would I wan to come in first? Good always has to triumph at some point...Or it could be "The Wrath of Sylar"? We'll see...
